Summer Studies Summer Reading The summer reading link takes you to a site that allows you to select books on your child’s guided reading level. First, you will need to know your child’s guided reading level which is on your letter. Then you will need to look at what grade level that corresponds to: · Kinder: A-C · First: B-I · Second: H-M · Third: L-P · Fourth: O-T · Fifth: S-W · Sixth: V-Z Then find the grade level that your student is on. Select from the list that grade level. There should be books on your child’s guided reading level for you to look at. Select a book for both of you to enjoy. Good luck and happy reading! http://home.comcast.net/~ngiansante/ Math
The letter you received has highlighted standards (geometry, fractions) for your son or daughter to work on. The website has different grade levels and standards listed (numbers and operations, algebra, geometry, measurement, data analysis and probability). The highlighted standards, in your letter, should connect with the standards on the website. Click on a standard under your students grade level. Several different activities will appear. Start at the beginning and let your child work through each of the problem sets. I would suggest trying 2-3 per week. Good luck and have fun! http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/vlibrary.html
