In high school, you’ll make a lot of decisions that will prepare you for college and your future. While your courses and test preparation are important, you still need to be able to do things for yourself. One of the most exciting things about high school is the clubs and extracurricular activities. Here at Providence Hall, we offer a variety of different clubs you can join so there is bound to be something that you enjoy!
Benefits of Joining a Club
School clubs are a great way to do what you love while getting yourself out there. Believe it or not, there are multiple benefits to joining school clubs and some of those benefits are:
- Meet New People: One of the most exciting things about joining a new club is meeting people who have the same interests as you. This is a great way to make new friends!
- College Admissions: When it comes to college applications, admission boards love to see students who are diverse in their interests. Colleges like seeing you interact with clubs, and no club is better than the other so be sure to choose something that interests you.
- Skill Development: Clubs are a great way to build strong skills that can help you later in life. Such as leadership, communication, and organization.
The benefits above are great reasons as to why you should join a club, but the biggest reason you should join a club at school is because of how much fun they are. School can sometimes feel stressful, and doing what you love after school can take that away for a little while.
