Welcome to Providence Hall Elementary, the only K-12 International Baccalaureate World School in the state of Utah, and one of only a handful in the United States. At Providence Hall we strive to provide an environment that encourages students to think critically, communicate effectively, and act responsibly in an ever-changing global community. We emphasize this through inquiry-based teaching and learning, character education taught at all grade levels, an emphasis not just on rote memorization but action and providing service to our community thereby creating global citizens.
Students at Providence Hall will receive a world-class education from teachers who know and care about them, an administration who sees to their needs, and a Board who is truly looking out for their best interest. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their learning, instead of just rote memorization. They will experience new electives, learn new languages, and learn how to take action on what they are learning. Our extracurricular activity offerings include the performing arts and visual arts. Our International Baccalaureate academic program truly teaches students how to inquire about the world around them and apply these skills in their learning. When your child attends Providence Hall, they will feel empowered to achieve academically to prepare them for the future.
Not all elementary schools are created equal. Because of Providence Hall’s emphasis on inquiry-based, authentic, and hands-on learning, your Elementary student will be prepared to enter their middle school years with confidence. We understand each child learns differently, and our smaller classes allow teachers and faculty to take the time to teach your child in the way that’s best for them. This way they are confident in their abilities to improve, grow, and achieve their goals as they transition in their education.
Providence Hall enrolls students on a lottery-based system. Simply submit your child’s application into our pool and we run a lottery annually to determine which children will be added to our amazing list of attending students. Drawing names from a lottery ensures there are no biases or pre-qualifications for attendance. We strive to provide equal opportunity to all students and potential students. For information on submitting an application for your children to participate in the lottery, you can find instructions on our Enrollment page.
