Our student-athletes are dedicated both in the classroom and off. As the only K-12 International Baccalaureate Charter School in Utah, we are committed to helping students think critically, act responsibly and communicate effectively. We believe that these principles help students in the classroom, on the court, and in their everyday life. Our smaller class sizes allow each student to get more individualized attention and each student can participate in more sports and other activities to develop their skills.
We cultivate excellence in all we do. Our mission is to guide, strengthen and support our student-athletes as they strive for excellence academically, athletically, and socially. Above all else, we develop graduates, community leaders, and lifelong friends of our program.
“My teachers were very committed to preparing me for college. I currently am finishing my second year at Hartnell College and have kept a 3.4 GPA which has earned me my name on the Dean’s list. I credit my teachers at PHHS. Without PHHS I would not be where I am today. ”

Head Coach – Jack Ballard
Coach Jack Ballard had coached high school football, baseball, and boys and girls basketball in the Utah valley for almost a decade before taking an assistant women’s basketball coaching position with NCAA DIII Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. After spending two years with the Lutes, Coach Ballard took a head coaching position with NAIA Northern New Mexico College, where he spent three seasons. The first season was as an Associate Head Coach and the last two as the Head Coach. While at Northern, Coach Ballard’s teams have the distinction of the women’s programs only postseason wins, winning A.I.I Conference Tournament games in each of Ballard’s seasons at the helm. Ballard’s 2015 Northern team made it to the A.I.I Conference Championship game narrowly missing a berth to the NAIA National Tournament by a three-point loss in the title game.
After a short stint working for NCSA as a Head National Scout in Las Vegas, Ballard chose to move back home to the valley to give his three boys the opportunity to finish their schooling in Utah. Prior to moving back home, Providence Hall was hand picked by Coach Ballard’s wife, Jen, for its academic qualities and student-centered environment. Additionally, having all three schools within the same campus has provided the community feel that the Ballard family values.
Coach Ballard, his wife Jen, and their three boys Jackson, Connor, and Cody are all excited to be a part of this unique and special Providence Hall family!
