Welcome to Providence Hall High, the only K-12 International Baccalaureate World School in the state of Utah, and one of only a handful in the United States. At Providence Hall we strive to provide an environment that encourages students to think critically, communicate effectively, and act responsibly in an ever-changing global community. We emphasize this through inquiry-based teaching and learning, character education taught at all grade levels, an emphasis not just on writ memorization but action and providing service to our community thereby creating global citizens. As a 3A member of the High School Activities Association, students can participate in sports, visual, and performing arts opportunities in a small-school environment.
Students at Providence Hall will receive a world-class education from teachers who know and care about them, an administration who sees to their needs, and a Board who is truly looking out for their best interest. Students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in their learning, instead of just writ memorization. They will experience new electives, learn new languages, try new sports in PE class and extracurricular activities through the Utah High School Activities Association, and learn how to take action on what they are learning. Our extracurricular activity offerings include the performing arts and visual arts along with debate and sports. These are offered both during the day and after school so students can participate no matter their schedule. Our academic programs include the full International Baccalaureate diploma program, concurrent enrollment, AP, and CTE pathways in health, science, business, and computer programming. When your child attends Providence Hall, they will feel empowered to achieve both their academic and extracurricular goals which will prepare them for the future.
Providence Hall enrolls students on a lottery-based system. Simply submit your child’s application into our pool and we run a lottery annually to determine which children will be added to our amazing list of attending students. Drawing names from a lottery ensures there are no biases or pre-qualifications for attendance. We strive to provide equal opportunity to all students and potential students. For information on submitting an application for your children to participate in the lottery, you can find instructions on our Enrollment page.
