Driver’s Ed

Driver’s Ed classes are held four times a year by a 3rd Party, Wright Driving School, a professional company dedicated to helping teens become safe, responsible drivers.

There are sessions available in Fall and Spring, as well as two in summer.

Students who choose to participate have the following options:

  • 9-Day Course: This class will be taught on location at Providence Hall High School by Wright Driving School instructors. It runs for about two hours after school, from 3:30PM to 5:30PM.
  • Online Course: Wright Driving School understands that students are busy and often have packed schedules. Once students sign up for the online course, they’ll have one year to complete the course.

At the end of each course, students will be able to take the state driver’s test. These are pass or fail courses, and so students will have the opportunity to retake the courses if they are unable to pass the first time.

Wright Driving School wants to make sure that our students are prepared for the open road as much as possible. To help students be able to make the informed decisions needed as a responsible driver, the instructors will bring in three guest speakers during the course:

  • Zero Fatalities: A representative from this organization will come teach our students about the dangers of distracted driving and about how to drive safely around semi-trucks. Learn more about Zero Fatalities here: https://zerofatalities.com/
  • Utah Donors Foundation: When students get their license, they’ll have to make a decision about whether or not they want to be a donor should anything happen to them. This organization will provide students with the information they need to make the best informed decision for themselves.
  • Utah Highway Patrol: Our first responders know the dangers of driving more than anybody. They’ll teach our students about the responsibilities that come with driving. After all, it’s a privilege—not a right.
